A group of drugs related to tricyclic antidepressants is effective in the treatment of depression.
Side effects of their use are: increased action of anticholinergics , increased risk of arrhythmia when taking drugs, pronounced toxic effect when combined with stimulants of the thyroid gland. The end result of the side effects of tricyclic antidepressants is the risk of developing paroxysmal tachycardia.

It can be combined with tranquilizers, neuroleptics, antidepressants, with the exception of MAO inhibitors. The drug is effective in the treatment of mild to moderate depression.
